any differences between this two?
Substantive procedures consist of dests of detail and analytical procedures. The former includes:
> Inspecting fixed assets for existence
> Reperforming depreciation calculations for valuation of fixed assets
> Confirmation from debtors for existence and ownership.
> Inspecting invoices for nominal ledger coding and tracing to nominal ledger accounts to test for occurence and classification.
Analytical substantive procedures consist of comparisons and ration analysis eg look at this period’s receivables collection period and compare to last period’s.
