Check your spam folder! That’s where I found mine after waiting and waiting for a confirmation.
May 18, 2017 at 2:53 pm #386642Hai @hanandon.
please check ur junk or spam folder.
i found my confirmation their, and my mentor also got the confirmation link in the junk.June 17, 2017 at 4:53 pm #393389If you are having a problem while attaching the file, check if the file size is too big https://flashessay.com/ or is compatible. Then you may restart the system.
November 9, 2017 at 1:12 am #414923Hello,
When I come to submit my project and I realise there are ‘Supporting documents’ and ‘Submit’ can be clicked in the portal, so which one is for uploading documents for submission. I know this question is a bit silly, but I do not want to click the wrong one.
Also, do I have to upload mentor’s feedback for each meeting as the evidence of SLS.Many thanks.
November 10, 2017 at 7:44 am #415046Normally you load the main files (report, SLS, reference list and Presentation) and then you can load appendices. No you don’t load evidence of the meetings unless your work is subsequently challenged by the Academic Conduct Office.
( Some mentors in contravention of the rules, have not been holding meetings for the presentation and markers have been reporting incidents of ‘same old, same old’ comments ‘ in the SLS. So some cases are investigated – then such files would be useful evidence and are asked for but otherwise they are not required by OBU)
November 11, 2017 at 3:26 pm #415276Anyone who is unable to submit the presentation on the OBU website. Please do not submit word format. My project failed because I submitted a word format. If you have any problem, when you click on “CHOOSE FILE”, a windows pops up. In the right bottom, change “custom files” to “ALL FILES”. Then, your presentation should be shown in the window now. Wish you every success.

November 14, 2017 at 12:58 am #415635Hi everyone,
For financial statements extract, can I literally extract it from financial statements I downloaded from company’s website (i.e. not re-writing it)?
I understand that I also have to submit excel work together with ratio calculation separately.
Appreciate your quick reply as I am trembling trying to prepare all docs for submission :((
Many thanks.
November 14, 2017 at 7:33 am #415663Yes you may do this (as long as you have included a spreadsheet that shows calculations created using formulae and graphs constructed from the data because ‘evidence of adequate spreadsheet skills’ is mandatory for a pass).
November 15, 2017 at 3:04 am #415821For resubmission do I have to submit presentation also it is already passed
November 15, 2017 at 10:39 am #415932You may find that for the IT system requirements it has to be loaded. However just upload the previous file.
If you have changed topic or organisation you have to do a new Presentation.

I failed IT part in period 35, because I have not submitted spreadsheet(excel file).
I am just bit confused here. I thought I properly submitted. In my memory, there was two page for uploading file, on first page I can upload 4 main files(RAP, SLS, PRESENTATION, REFERENCE LIST) on the each linked area, and next page I can upload SPREADSHEET as appendix.
But, Admin office’s response is “all documents including the appendices are uploaded on the same page on the submissions website”.
Is my memory wrong? Could you share that the way to submit?April 25, 2018 at 1:46 pm #448791Hi Ehsan and All OT members,
You mentioned that :
2) You don’t need to extract pages from annual reports – given that you have referenced correctly and stated the page number in the reference All is fine.
SO This means Screenshots of the f/statement as appendix is not MANDATORY. I have the necessary 4 files (RAP,SLS,PPT,Ref) and Excel. Nothing more than this . Is that fine..
Regards,
EhsanThanks.
April 29, 2018 at 7:50 am #449257I think it actually says in the submission check list “Have you included extracts from the financial statements (Topic8)?” Markers are very busy people and wise students do everything to assist them. This usually means providing financial information whether it is by means of an Excel file or screenshots.
May 1, 2018 at 4:52 am #449587Hi trephena,
Thanks so much trephena ! This was very helpful . However I just came across another question please :
Some of my references are valid and verified as its from reputable sources like Bloomberg and WSJ. But as I click on the links that I provided, it now insists on “SUBSCRIBE to THE NEWSLETTER or Become a Member to read “.
Although these resources were easily available but Now thats I may have viewed it time and again and now it is insisting on membership. Does that make my ref invalid ?
Do I have to find sources again ?
Thanks trephena all this time for promptly helping me through .
May 2, 2018 at 10:00 pm #449855i submit the rap on 1st may 2018 and i uploaded 5 files and the confirmation i received which is only for 4 files……… the missing one is ratio analysis xlx file
please help me what should i do now and i am very sure on the time of uploading all 5 files are uploaded and then i click for submission.
May 3, 2018 at 8:42 pm #449990You need to get in touch with the submission office acca@brookes.ac.uk as soon as possible – better still at the same time attach all of your files and if possible a scan or copy of your email receipt with your email.
That way they can then check and if necessary upload the relevant missing file. Ensure you do this promptly and have a confirmation of their action before the submission deadline as they will not accept any files to replace those wrongly submitted or omitted from the submission after the closure date which is about the middle of May (Info pack states the exact closure date for P36)
May 7, 2018 at 3:23 pm #450469Hi Trephena
I am going to submit the RAP soon but I do not know if there are specific rules to follow.
I did Topic 18, so If I am correct I should have only 5 documentsRAP
Reference
SLS
Excel file
Presentation (PDF)For this RAP I used the financials for preparing some graphs. All links are provided in the excel file (but not in the reference list) Do I have to submit a copy of them? As far as I know it is a requirement only for Topic 8.
I read a lot that excel file needs to be submitted in appendix.
I haven t seen the portal yet, so could you please help me to understand which documents need to be submitted in the appendix?
Do I have to upload the RAP separately? It might be a stupid question but I don t want to have any doubts while I am submitting the RAP
Thanks
Gabbi
May 7, 2018 at 3:41 pm #450473For what I understand it will all become clear when you log in to the site. Be sure to check the details and number of files you load against the submission confirmation as any omissions and errors will only be accepted while the P36 submission is open. For Topic 18 there should be a reference list, Excel file showing formulae and graphs, Report, SLS statement an PowerPoint. Normally just those 5 files.
May 8, 2018 at 1:26 am #450516Trephena,
Thank you for your answer.
I have another questions. Is there any specific version of PowerPoint which is the requirement for the submission. I have my file save in PPTx which make the file smaller than PPT. Is PPTx accepted by the OBU?Thanks
Gabbi
May 8, 2018 at 12:54 pm #450584The marker needs to be able to read the file and run it as a slideshow -provided they can do this there is no issue

Is anyone having trouble submitting?
When I click to choose the relevant file they are all greyed out and won’t allow me to select them.

I think it may be a Mac issue. OBU suggested I select ‘All Files’ when uploading but that’s a Windows option, not Mac, from what I can tell.
I can’t be the first person to upload from a Mac. If anyone has a fix I’d be very grateful. I’m on a MacBook Pro running El Capitan.
May 16, 2018 at 8:22 am #452234So did you manage to succeed in the end?
If not, my best advice would be to email the files and do a screenshot of your posts on here (as they are time stamped) and send that too explaining the issue
Try the usual address acca@Brookes.ac.uk
….. and let us know how you got on
(BTW the normal submission confirmation may often end up in junk mail)

I’VE FOUND A FIX
If you are a Mac user, you must use Firefox to upload and NOT Safari.
I’ve sent this to acca@brookes.ac.uk too so that they can give this advice out to other users who email in.
