    Hi All

Looking for some advice with regards to P3. I have P1 completed which took me 5 attempts. 48% each sitting until I finally got 50%. I have been told if I don’t complete P3 by June 2018 I will loose my P1 paper. After all the hardship I am pissed off at this but also determined I will pass. What is your experience with this exam? I don’t have the money to pay for tution so will be relying on Open Tution only. Is it doable? I work full time, have a bit of a commute to work and a 10 month old baby. What sort of study hours per day / week am I looking at ???

    Thanks 🙂

P3 is all about application. You must apply your knowledge, as you did in P1.

You must use the scenario, and apply models to the scenario.

Relying on OT is fine. Once you go through the OT notes and lectures, you must practice from a revision kit. This formula had worked for many.
You can add technical articles and examiner reports to your study as well.

If you take a look at the lectures on the P3 page, it gives you the length of each lecture. That should give you an indication of the time you will need to spend on it.

You still have time, if you start now.

Basically what you are saying is that all I need is rely on the open tuition lectures and after I go through the lecture, I only need to go through a revision kit and I am ready for the Exams? I am interested because I am in the same situation as sam200tech. I also have a very, very busy and I intend to sit for F7 and F9, though I find F7 lectures not updated.

    Ksaisonga,

Yes, OT lectures and notes, and a revision kit is all you need.
You can add technical articles and examiner reports to your study as well.

If you need more lectures for F7, then go on the CIMA tab here on OT and look into F1 and F2.

Thank you for the guidance. But can I make it for the September 2017 exams for the two courses F7 and F9 if I start now?

It depends on you, as you have stated that you are very busy, and with the time available.

Starting now, I honestly would suggest you take only one of these papers.

They are both challenging papers, especially F9.
