Hey guys, I’m planning on taking Fa1, Fa2, Ma1 and Ma2 in June and continue taking exams, I work full-time so I would only be able to study an hour or so a day, I’m not sure how to word this so I’m going to try my best, roughly how long does it take to learn and study a topic, I’m using Bpp books, so for example how long does it take to study Fab, Fma Ffa, F4, F5… Etc. I only have certain times that I can sit the exams because of vacation at work, so I’m going to try and sit 2-3 exams at once because I have to fly into a different island to take them, please give opinions, study tips and anything you found helpful.
thanks in advance
January 29, 2017 at 6:14 pm #370170It varies person to person. Some students have had similar cases like yours and they have passed those papers. It depends totally upon you to prepare in a way that you can pass all of them.
You’re saying that you work full time and only have an hour or so to study, then i believe it’ll be a bit tougher for you to study all of them. But again, it depends totally upon how well you utilize the time you have for studying & preparing. After all, nothing is impossible.
You have a minimum of 4 months, which means you can give each paper at least 1 month for study & preparation. Once you start your studies, you’ll know how you should study or how well do you understand the concepts.
Start studying first, then you’ll know whether you can attempt those papers in june or not.April 1, 2017 at 3:12 pm #379842Hey beach bum. I am new to ACCA and find it difficult to study more than one paper at a time. I have just started getting up early in the morning to do about 30 minutes before I go out to work. seems to be helping. I keep a study long on a spreadsheet so that I can keep track of my progress.
Can you give me a few top tips that you find helpful when you are studying, you said that you only have one hour a day which is about what I have so I am curious as to how you managed to use your hour efficiently.
April 7, 2017 at 5:23 pm #380549Okay, so actually I’m only going to be able to take 2 exams in June, what I try to do is read a chapter or 30 mins in the morning and in the afternoon after I get off of work make flashcards for the chapter that I read in the morning, and read over them and review them on weekends. And if you have a problem with something, use a different source, it may help you understand better.
