Hello
I have purchased the Kaplan exam kit for the law exam. I am planning to use open tuition lectures to learn the syllabus – and then the Kaplan exam kit for practice questions etc. if I dedicate 12 hours a week to study, how long do you think I will need in total before being exam ready?
ThanksMax
June 7, 2024 at 6:40 am #706883Hi Max, and welcome to the Law paper forum.
Sadly, you have asked a question that is impossible for me to answer because there are so many unknowns.
How able are to to absorb new material? How long is your attention span? Is your projected 12 hours per week totally focussed or are you potentially facing distracting influences?
The list could go on!
I have taught students in the past where, on more than one occasion, they have discovered a week before they were due to take the exam that they had been entered for the Global variant but the course had been targeted at the English variant.
A middle-aged mature Norwegian lady and three early-twenties Lithuanian students spring immediately to mind. They all passed the Global variant exam at the first attempt.
12 hours per week is not really the sole determining factor. It’s the quality of your studying that, in combination with the time spent, will make success more assured.
If you can devote your twelve hours of quality learning over, say, 8 weeks, then I suggest that you might have a reasonable expectation of success in August. But, of course, that depends upon your own abilities in terms of concentration, memory and information retention.
Whatever, once you’ve started in to your dedicated studying and you find that you’ve hit a brick wall with something that you find incomprehensible, just remember that I am here to help you if I can. Post your question on this forum and I shall get back to you.
OK?
