At the moment my plan is to do the first 9 exams, maybe get the OBU degree and hopefully get a job as an account assistant or similar. My highest level of education is A-level and I have never worked in an office.
I think doing ACCA is a good path, since it’s what employers want in the end, but wouldn’t I have to start in a trainee job anyway? As far as I’m aware these don’t require a degree and you study towards a qualification anyway.
Am I approaching this from a wrong direction? Should I first get a degree (perhaps any “numerical” degree – I have the opportunity to do Chemistry for example) and then start looking at jobs, qualifying etc.? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
