Looking to sit this next month and reading through the books, very wordy!! I’m struggling to retain all that information!

Any tips? And what was your experience?
    Also, what helped you pass?

    Thanks 🙂

Sounds like you are trying to much at once. Concentrate on understanding the topics as i found the exam also very wordy and only about 30-40% workings. I broke each topic down to important key points e.g. IAS 40 investment in properties, concise notes about top topic area in general e.g. what counts as investment property, what valuation models be used etc. Then i would do various practices questions on each topic and when i got a question wrong i would go through the question and make sure i knew why i got it wrong as did i use a wrong model etc.

If you are struggling all round concentrate on limited number of topics but keep going over them as i found this can help knowledge retention.

I also did it via kaplan and did minimum of least one mock exam a day constantly building up to the exam. Once again i would go through every question i got wrong see why i got it wrong and redo it the right way.
