Hi All
Just wanting a bit of advice i have taken my last 3 exams and failed all 3 (low to high 40s)and got tax tomorrow and im not confident with that at all as i have had a lot to deal with in run up to it.
My question is? Is anyone close to the point of giving up with the exams all together? Im considering going down the qualified by experience route instead. Which would mean leaving the exams.
Im not sure whats the way to go. Is anyone thinking of similar ideas or can anyone shed advice of how i can pass more regularly
Thanks in advance
you are taking too many exams at a time bro…do them one at a time. 40ss would mean that you are close but doing 3 exams at a sitting is extremely difficult to pull off.
Cheers for the reply
i opnly do 1 exam at a time what im saying is those exams i have taken (all different sittings) got close but failed
Hi Paul,
I have sat F6, F8, P1, P2 and P3 and got them at first sitting. I sit them one at a time like yourself.
I think the key to these exams is technique and making it easier for the marker.
Use a heading for every point you make to clearly show the marker that this should get a mark provided it is explained properly. Work on the assumption that 1 point = 1 mark so 6 clear headings for 6 marks.
Get an exam revision kit for each exam and do every question in that analysing the examiners answers. This will give you an idea of the different kind of questions the examiner will ask.
With regards to being qualified by experience I believe that this will limit your career progression in future. Just keep working hard and get your exams mate.
I hope that you start to pass the exams and gain more confidence.
David
