Would full marks be awarded for identifying “Stratification” as a sampling procedure, because the standard outlined five:-
-Random
-Systematic
-Monetary Unit
-Haphazard
-Block
These are the principal methods talked about in the standard. It does therefore allow other methods.
Systematic samplimg is widely used. You can think of it as a form of random sampling if you regard each stratum as a separate population. It is important that, at the end of the sampling process items have been chosen from each stratum.
