I was wondering what is better to do in the exam question 1 if we have very little time left. Should we spend it summing up numbers in each category of consolidated statements, for instance:
non-current assets: 20+50+100-10-4+2 Total 158
or should we better use this time to try to resolve another complication from the question?
How many points could we lose for not showing the total sum in each category of consolidated financial statements if we put the numbers just as I showed above in the non-current assets example?
Thank you very much
This reply is probably too late to matter, but others may find it useful. The marks are in the workings. Don’t waste time adding up figures ( if you are short of time ) From the above example it would be enough for you to write on your SoFP 20+50+100-10-4+2 and
don’t bother with the total of 158
