Hi Ken,
in part C when we calculate the ROCE, the answer on ACCA website, the capital employed is the beginning balance but in both BPP study text and revision kit it’s always average capital employed. so which one should we follow in the exam?

ROCE is not strictly defined (unlike the CE in EVA which is always opening CE).
In general ROCE can be calculated using opening, closing or average CE. Markers won’t mind.
