Its statue the same meaning as civil law in legal system?
No – not really. Statute law is often created to put into written law the common civil law which has developed over centuries. But not all civil law has bee put into statute.
There have been recent exam questions asking you for brief explanations of statute law and civil law. The examiner’s answers to those questions ( from the ACCA website ) will give you a better insight
