    TYU-2, page no.496

In the solution on page 513, ledger of tangible non current assets, can you please explain where this revaluation figure of 10 come from. I dont see anywhere mentioned in the question.

I don’t have the study text with me – do you think that I carry these books round with me?!!!

However, I can only guess that there is a movement of 10 in the Revaluation Reserve as shown on the Statement of Financial Position.

If that’s not the case (and I cannot imagine that there isn’t such a movement!) then there must be something in the notes to the question about a revaluation

    Hope that helps

“However, I can only guess that there is a movement of 10 in the Revaluation Reserve as shown on the Statement of Financial Position.” This was my original post.

I have now managed to get hold of a copy of the 2014 text – do you expect me to carry with me the 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions? Not being able to follow your page references, I managed to narrow it down to the TYU2 on pages 504 and 505 and what do I see on page 505? A movement of 10 on the revaluation reserve from 12 to 22.

Have you not watched the online lecture on this site where I make a specific point of writing BEWARE the revaluation reserve?

Even your response of “Thanks, next time i shall write the question” doesn’t tell me whether my original post answered your question so I’m now having to post this to ensure that you have understood

May I ask that, if you have no further question or comment on this thread, that you DON’T respond to this post. If you do, I’ll see that mine is not the last name on the thread and shall feel obligated to open it in case it may be a supplementary post. I repeat, unless you DO have a further question, please do not respond to this post of mine.

    Thank you 🙂
