Hi,
Bit of background info; completed university this year, obtained exemptions from all F papers, got a job in AP and thinking to sit the SBL paper in Dec-18.
My question is the approach, I have seen the packages provided by BPP with the option of payment instalments or self-study and maybe attend the revision sessions at BPP.
Very vague question but any guidance would be great as this if my first step 🙂
Cheers
July 28, 2018 at 3:38 pm #465059So, this will be your first ACCA exam. I don’t thinkmthe SBL syllabus is particularly difficult, though for you, in addition to pure SBL topics it might include topics you have not studied for some time and which are dealt with in the F papers.
I think you can study the paper using our resources, but it is very important for you to get adequate question practice. This is an exam which asks you to apply theories and models rather than describing them. In addition, as I said, this will be your first experience of an ACCA exam.
Therefore, I suggest you do your basic study using our resources then attend a revision course where you should get lots of question practice. If you decide not to attend a revision course it is absolutely essential that you buy a revision kit/question practice book from BPP or Kaplan. Note that the ACCA have published two specimen papers.

In regards to resources what methods of study do you recommend ? The notes have 7 major topics.
I am thinking to start beginning of August to pace myself and allow the extra time as it is my first exam.
