Hi tutor this question is confusing to me. Need to find out how to calculate the standard mix in kgs. The question is from BPP revision kit pg 47 Question 165
Material std cost per kg actual cost per kg std mix actual mix kgs
P 3.00 3.50 10% 820the answer at the back says material std mix in kgs is 750
I am unclear as to how to arrive to this answer. I’ve tried diff ways but i must be doing it wrong.thanks lots tutor
February 2, 2018 at 5:06 pm #434715i think i have it now..10% of total material in actual mix of all materials..there was actual more to the question but didnt state them so couldnt have worked it out without all the information..but i still dont understand why they calculated it using the total of all the material figures and not on a per line basis
February 2, 2018 at 5:27 pm #434734But have you watched my free lectures on mix and yield variances?
The lectures are a complete free course for Paper F5 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
