Hi goodnight,
With respect to part (c) of the question, why did division a sell the wrist supports externally at the contr/unit ($5) instead of the selling price of $9?
It did sell externally at $9. Using the contribution of $5 per unit is just a bit simpler than sayins:
SP = 9
Cost/unit = 240/60 = 4
Contribution/unit = 5
