When we hav to apply split year basis in questions ?
This is applied when an individual has been living overseas and return to the UK or vice versa within a tax year.
the overseas income is taxed overseas unless remitted to the UK it is taxed on remittance basis.
the UK income is wholly taxed on arising basis. just remember to split the two sources of income and be mindful of the dates and apply the tax accordingly.
that’s how i understand it
thanksssss
