Sir, We all know ACCA is leading accountancy organisation , but many students had express their huge doubt about ACCA integrity and marking policy , sorry if this post offended sir , but i have to say , ACCA must have manipulated worldwide passing rate . Take for example , i had sat for F5 during last june 2012 and many students had commented on ACCA facebook page and opentuition page that the paper was disaster and surely fail . When the result released on 8 August ,many students including me was shocked when they knew pass suprisingly . Surely for those passed F5 “miracally” are happy, but some expressed their worries about ACCA integrity because they never expect to pass when they attempted questions less than required. Not only that, a student was questioning ACCA on facebook page that their mark achieved is far more than they attampted . My conclusion for all ACCA students, when u pass or fail a paper, u would never know u passed with helping hand or failed unreasonably. Sorry for poor english ……..

Thanks for clearing that upFebruary 21, 2013 at 4:05 pm #118420I dont really get this post, be happy you passed ( I didnt in that sitting!!)
If you think that the ACCA is somehow dishonest why dont you cancel your membership and transfer to another accountancy board such as CIMA???
There will always be people who say they thought they had failed, it has been the same for every exam I have ever sat! Some people saying yeah was easy and failing or people saying they have failed when they have passed!
February 21, 2013 at 9:19 pm #118455I had a huge suspicion when I got 53% for two papers I took a couple of years ago. In the exam I thought I did amazingly well, waiting for a result above 70%. I even got 57% for one paper I could hardly do and couldn’t finish.
February 22, 2013 at 11:59 pm #118573@chen87 I totally agree with you… ACCA seems to be easy pissy… anyone can pass the exams with little efforts….while studying exams it sounds tough.. but the passing marks are astonishing… I completed F7 without proper study , I hardly competed 50% of sylabus… though exams were easy i was not well prepared but still cleared!! i wonder how…?
I have great worry after passing exams whats the future…!! every tom dick and harry is ACCA pass.!
February 23, 2013 at 2:43 am #118585As a teacher I can tell you that students will always be puzzled by the marks they get in exams. What you have to remember is what you think you have done and what you have actually done are tow different things. I suggest you focus on your remaining papers and not worry about the marking process of ACCA. At the end of the day, ACCA is not going to soil its reputation by giving students marks they do not deserve as the associations policies can be scrutinised by the standard setters at any time.
