    In a Civil law, “the burden of proof must be shown on the balance of probabilities”

    What does that mean?

    It means that, in a civil case, the plaintiff must show / prove to the magistrate or judge that their version of events is more plausible / believable than the version of events being suggested by the defendant

    It is moe probable that your version is correct than that of the other party
