A tax which is charged at 10% of the cost of domestic heating costs and which is
collected by an addition to heating bills, would be:
A Progressive
B Regressive
C Proportional
D Direct
i am confused between b and c .
The tax rate charged is proportional to the level of usage.
C – Proportional…
Tax is charged over usage of other thing.
I think it is
B – Regressive.
The tax hits poorer households proportionally more, as their income rises they probably don’t use much more heating and so pay less tax relative to their income.
please anyone give me the right answer?
The right answer is C – Proportional
“10% of the cost of domestic heating costs”
the charge will be 10% of whatever the heat bill is so it is a proportional tax
no the answer is b regresive! 🙂
i just did that!
b is the answer because it will take higher rate in lower income
