Good Day,
would appreciate if you could explain below qs as I confuseWhich of following organisation may not be affected by demographic or social changes in the environment?
A) Feel Better INC is a chain of hospital across the country
B) High Rise Co is a construction company that deals in the construction of apartment complexes and row houses.
C) Tempsford Boilers deals in the installation of power plant equipment
D) Skylark Shipping Co is a well know shipping company in western zone of USA.
What is your answer and please explain. thank you
October 8, 2013 at 1:41 pm #142269I’m not sure, but maybe…
Concerning business of installation of power plant equipment:
There are not so many power plants, usually it is required a couple of plants in the region to provide electricity to all industries and individuals. Also, power plant may be constructed in any region, and electricity may be sold to any place from that region. And the process of installation isn’t so “labour efficient”, it is more likely to be one-off work.
So, this business isn’t very connected with certain region and its popullation. That’s why I prefer point C.A and B are very sensible to demographic and social changes. Shipping company is labour-dependent, and users of it’s services are place-dependent.
