Familiarisation with the constructed response (CR) workspace BEFORE you sit the exam is essential – or you may risk wasting valuable exam time!

You can practice using the CBE constructed response workspace (see link “Access constructed response workspace” at https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/computer-based-exams/f5-f9-session-cbes-what-you-need-to-know/learning-support-for-f5-f9-session-cbes-new.html#) – you will see below the link also “Access the word processing exercise” and “Access the spreadsheet exercise”.

In the constructed response, click through the instruction pages – the workspace starts with blank wordprocessing templates but then you can use the navigator to locate Wordprocessing pages 14 (2 columns) and 15 (3 columns) and blank spreadsheets (pages 16-25).

In the CR workspace you will also find the “help/references” which includes “CR Question help”. This summarises the functions available including guidance on spreadsheet functions and formulae.

The “CR Question help” information can also be found in the “Guide to F5-F9 CBEs”:
https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/ACCA_Global/Students/exam/Guide%20to%20CBEs_FINAL.PDF This also explains all the different types of Objective Test questions that may appear in Section A/B of the exam.
