At first, i must make an early apology cuz this is not related to questions….
Nowadays, I’m looking for a job in Singapore, Malaysia and so on, but there is no demand for foreigners, as there are a number of local students studying ACCA with the ability to speak Chinese and English.
However, I studied abroad in LSBF in Singapore for 2 years, but i got serious illness about inflammation of the stomach, so i went back to Korea, and passed F456 and 9 with IELTS score 7.0 (C1). Whenever i apply to overseas companies to find a job called a junior accountant or intern in Singapore and Malaysia, they don’t even respond to my emails.
the most urgent issue is to get job experience…. but in South Korea, they don’t admit ACCA qualification without job experience. Companies in Asia do not seem to hire foreign students who live in other countries cuz of Visa problems which i guess…
Even the salary in Malaysia is quite miserable for less than $800 per month….
the reason why i try to get qualified is to earn reasonable money honestly…the only way i can go through is to go to UK to get job experience, but frankly speaking,
i’m afraid of living in western countries with fear to be discriminated as an Asian and i might not get a job, even though i could be allowed from UK to stay there for 2 years with the visa called Working Holiday which is a special legislation agreement between UK and Korea.there is no silver line ….
please understand how desperate i am and i talk to you like this way…
there is no one who can advise me to go through … most of my friends dropped this qualification… i’m the only one who makes all out efforts to be an accountant.
i beg you to give me advice and tips
really sorry to ask this problem here …i make an early apology

Once you’ve got that bit of experience your foot is in the door but getting that first opportunity can be a struggle.
I think your fears about being discriminated in Western countries due to being Asian may be unfounded. I am from the UK and I don’t believe there is widespread racism here. There are many Asian people in the UK, especially in London. London is a very multicultural city and there are people from all over the world there. I don’t think racism will hold you back in your career here – if you can speak English and have the skills and experience needed, you will be able to get a job.
I think a bigger issue for you would be finding a job given your relative lack of experience. You don’t really say in your post whether you are working or have worked in accounting/finance so far?
Also, the cost of living in the UK is quite high now, especially in London, so unless you have other funds to help you, you may find it difficult to meet all your costs such as rent on a trainee salary.
Getting a visa may also be an issue but I am not familiar with the visa requirements so can’t really comment on that.
