Also sir am struggling to differentiate between single loop feedback and double loop feedback. Could you mention the exact difference between the two?

August 16, 2020 at 4:08 pm #580790One thing that i now for a fact is that in case of single loop feedback targets are not changed but rather different ways of achieving the targets are thought out adn experimented with and in case of double loop feedback control targets are changed. But what is slightly bemusing me is whether in case of double loop feedback control, targets are achieved and then revised or just left without trying much?

If it is asked in the exam (which I think extremely unlikely) it will probably be in relation to variance analysis.
With single-loop feedback, if we have an adverse variance one month we try to find out what went wrong and correct the problem for next month (or if favourable try to keep it favourable
:-))With double-loop feedback we still do the same but in addition look again at the standard costs to see if they need revising for the future.
