Hello,
Please confirm if the following are correct when comparing probability analysis (EV) and simulation,
1) The simulation model helps in what is essentially a one off decision where as EV are preferable for repeated decisions.
2) The mean NPV is built from the results of repeated simulation runs where as in probability analysis the expected NPV calculations are not repeated ie are only one off.
Perhaps very basic questions but got me confused.
Have a great day !
Yes – they are correct 🙂
