Dear Tutor,
Could you please advise what should be our approach regarding some significant structural changes. How should Section A be treated? Apart from Specimen exam applicable for December 2014 exam, are there any other resources we may have more questions to practice with. Thank you very much for your guidance.
kind regards,
Lin
The main structural change is the inclusion of 12 MCQ questions for 20 marks. This allows a wide coverage of the paper – but on the other hand is you haven’t covered an area you would lose 2 marks only.
Although the structure of the rest of the paper has changed too (4 x 10 marks Qs + 2 x 20 mark Qs), I don’t think that this should affect your approach. Previously, the 35 and bo mark questions were always broken down into smaller sections. There is stall a high scenario content in those questions as there was previouslt in the exam. So respond to the facts presented.
We plan to create some MCQ questions on F8, probably available in September. The major publishers revision kits should contain MCQ questions.
