I am in the process of choosing and planning which P papers to complete. I feel that F5 might be an easier option than tax but I am probably more interested in tax. I am considering studying towards CTA in the future even though don’t work in that area atm. I am F6 exempt and I haven’t studied tax since 2010/2011.Is it worth doing this paper to get myself up to speed if I decided to do CTA in the future? And will the providers (Kaplan, etc) cover information again from F6 for P6. Or should I just try and make life as easy as possible to become ACCA qualified 🙂 All opinions welcomed and appreciated. (I am based in the Republic of Ireland)

I’m pretty sure that taking this paper gives you an exemption from the first CTA paper (not available through any other ACCA exam). Therefore if you think CTA is a route you’d like to go down it definitely makes sense to take P6, both for that reason and as a general refresher on tax.

I would definitely like a refresh on tax. Many thanks for your reply!
