The syllabus attempts to specify what you should know. Itmcan be dpwnloaded from the ACCA site, thwn by using Ctrl+F you can enter search terms.
Section B2(f) says:
Explain the role of marketing in an organisation:
i) Definition of marketing
ii) Marketing mix
iii) Relationship of the marketing plan to the strategic plan
