Hope everyone’s revision is going well 🙂
I have started a new thread as the previous one was flooded with requests to send mnemonics by e-mail.
It would be great if people could share mnemonics on this thread (as has worked really well in the P1 forum). Please don’t post requests, just mnemonics 😉
Here’s a starter for Porter’s five forces:
C = Customers’ bargaining power
R = Rivalry among current competitors
E = (threat of new) Entrants
S = Suppliers’ bargaining power
S = (threat of) Substitute products
Here’s one for the criteria for choosing a segment as a target market:
S = Stable
P = Potentially profitable
A = Accessible (profitably)
S = Susceptible (to the marketing mix)
M = Measurable
I personally make like this way…
Value Chain:
Primary Activities:
I – Inbound Logistics
O – Operations
O – Outbound Logistics
M – Marketing and Sales
S – Services
Secondary Activities
F – Firm Infrastructure
H – Human Resource Management
T – Technological Development
P – Procurement
Context of Change:
CC PP Road to South Dublin
C-Capacity
C-Capability
P-Preservation
P-Power (Managers’ power to make the change)
R-Readiness of employees to accept the change. Could also stand for their resistance to the change.
T- Time available to make the change
S-Scope of change
D-Diversity
Did anyone manage to accumulate a list of mnemonics?
