I see in technical articles of shares.
The examiner use only 2 colum shares number and index cost is it acceptable if not include 3rd colum of cost?
I would advise doing the share pool as shown in the notes rather than the short cut way of 2 columns as shown in the technical article – the reason being that IA cannot increase or create a loss, so the method shown in the article is fine when a gain arises (which presumably from the method used in the article will always arise!?) BUT will give the wrong answer if a loss arises!
