Hi John, can you please help me with the following question?
At 1 Jan x6, a company’s capital structure was as follows: ordinary share capital 2,000,000 shares of 50c each 1,000,000 share premium account 1,400,000 In Jan x6 the company issued 1,000,000 shares at 1.40 each in Sept x6 the company mad a bonus share of 1 share for every 3 held using the share premium account. What was the balance on the company’s share capital and share premium accounts after these transactions? Thanks
You must watch the free lecture, because I work through an almost identical question in the lecture (and I certainly cannot type out the whole lecture here 🙂 )
(and why are you attempting a question for which you do not have an answer? You should be using a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers – they have answers to all the questions.)
