Hello,
I have started ACCA and I took F4 exam last week, I studied at home with no help, and I passed it, I found it easy as it was CBE and short questions.
Now I would like to register for another exam but I am not sure if doing F5 or other… I heard that F7 and F8 would be better because the topics are related but I have spent hours reading forums and I am clueless. I have no conclusion which paper is next, I would assume it would be F5, but apparently it is quite difficult… is it?
Could anybody help me deciding what paper to take next?

The ACCA recommend taking exams in their sequence.
F5 is a difficult paper, but you will have to take it anyway, and it will not get any easier.
In my opinion, F7 and F8 are not really related.
If you liked F3, you can go for F7.
There is also the option of F6.

If you like management accounting, F5 will be a good starting point.. If you prefer financial accounting, F7 would be good.
Go through the syllabus and see if the topics are something that interest you.
I understand you may want to start something that will give you that initial push, passion, and stimulate your interest, then do something that you feel you will enjoy or are somehow familiar with. You can then assure a pass which will then be a good start.

I have been through the syllabus and I think I will go for F5, I agree it´s very important to start with something that gives you that push to continued without getting desperate, especially doing it on my own… which scares me but I have no other option at the moment…
