    Hi all,

I just finished my final year of Uni with an accounting degree and I got my results back yesterday. I am able to get exemption for all ACCA F1-F9 papers.

I saw ACCA webiste provide Septmeber sitting which is great. I would want to use the summer to study P1, P2, P3 and do all of them in september. I have no experience in ACCA, would any experts here tell is it the right thing to do or not? I checked with Kaplan and BPP about study materials. BPP provide online classroom and onlink mock exam and Kaplan is still selling June sitting materials as the ACCA required to use syllabus that is valid for exams in September and December 2015.

I am a bit consure should I or should I not go for them at September. I am good invidual that can study well with relevent materials and I would want to finish ACCA papers as soon as possible. I know I need working hours to be charted accountant, but I knew it might more difficult for me to work and study later on the years. Therefore I would want to use the summer for full time studing those 3 papers.

Please advise me for solutions and give me suggestions on such action.

    Thank You
    William

    Hi,

Exempt from all Fundamental papers = WOW !!

no need to be in such a hurry, only 5 more papers to go!

take it easy I’d suggest, P-level papers are completely different, and sitting 3 P-level papers would be a lot of work even for a full-time student,

There is a lot of content from P1 – P3, + for P2 you’ll have to be very thorough with IAS, which normally students with exemptions are not, and take a lot of time to practice through it,

but hey, if you believe you can do it, then go for it, if u clear all 3 in 1 sitting u have just 2 more papers to go & u clear those, ur done in 6 months what some take 5+ years 😀

Regarding study materials, make sure to have an updated Revision & Practice kit from BPP or Kaplan for whichever paper you plan to sit, these contain Past-exam questions along with their own questions & Mock tests..

Yeah, my degree provide me exemption to ACCA F1-F9 if I studied the corresponding modules and passed them.

I had looked thought the syllabus of the P1, P2 and P3 and as you said P1 and P3 are lots of centent to study. I am not familiar with the ACCA system, do most students do them separately or any combination of the 2? Also, what is Professional ethics module as the ACCA website suggest to take it with P1.

As if you said P-level papers are completely different level, I guess P1 + P2 would be very tough already, right?

Usually students tend to sit 2 papers in one sitting.. However, the maximum You can sit is 4 papers and minimum is 1.

The Professional Ethics Module relates to the ACCA Membership, after completing the Acca Exams, you’re an affiliate, not a member yet.

It depends, some find P2 easier, some find P1.. but there is a lot of content to cover and as this will be your first exam sitting for the ACCA papers, I’d suggest go for 2 papers..any 2.

    P1 – Ethics, Governance & Risk (theory)

    P2 – Corporate Reporting

    P3 – Business Analysis (theory)
