    Hi sir,

What is the best approach to retaking the exam? I got 37 marks. This was my 1st attempt and i self studied.

37 is quite a bit short of the pass mark.

The first thing you must do is to try to analyse why you didn’t do better. Was it poo technical knowledge (eg not being able to do an EVA calculation), poor time allocation, not addressing the requirements accurately, not writing enough detail in your answer. This analysis can be difficult without the full paper, but you meed to try. Then:

    1 Fix your knowledge gaps.

2 Practise questions, lookimg carefully at the requirememts and noting what you would say in your answer. Critically compare your plan to the model answer identifying where you might have gone wrong.

3 Practise a few questions against the clock. In the exam MOVE ON after the allocated time to ensure you try every question.

    Thanks sir.

My biggest issue was that i didnt prepare fully for question 1 being based on budgeting. Im pretty sure i got the majority of my marks in the optional questions.

My timing is good. I stick to the timeframes. I write out the time limits for each question in the exam. I didnt expect such a detailed budget question. So thats where i failed.

I will follow your advice. Thanks
