Hi
Does any body got a question on section C about flexed budget ? ACCA PM SEP 2024September 5, 2024 at 4:45 pm #710833Did anyone get shut down decision and roi/ri for sec c ?
September 5, 2024 at 5:09 pm #710835No
September 5, 2024 at 5:30 pm #710839I had a financial analysis question for Sansa stores in section C and then an optimum production plan for a Steel company, with a make or buy too.
I think section A and B seemed ok but also not sure I go enough correct. Honestly I’m not sure. Fingers crossed x
September 5, 2024 at 5:57 pm #710843I had the shut down decision and ROI/ RI calculation in section C and still wondering whether I got the right or wrong calculation for the shut down decision question :(.
September 5, 2024 at 6:51 pm #710847I did, I got $585.50 as the flexed profit can you share or tell if you got the same?
September 5, 2024 at 7:25 pm #710850I had on Section C, a question about balanced scorecard for services business, completition of KPI with justification for a courier company. It was a template for the KPI to complete
The 2nd question from Section C was to complete a flexed budget and to explain the advantages and inconvenients of the participative budgeting system. For Section B, 1 question about the LR with many calculations, 1 question with calculation of cost gap, how to decrease the cost gap, for a new target price and the same target profit to calculate the decrease per unit of the labour cost, and the 3rd question was with EV of perfect information, Maximax, Maximin, Minimax regret….
September 5, 2024 at 8:26 pm #710851I had the same exam. I am not very confident about the balanced scorecard question though.
How was it for you?September 5, 2024 at 8:40 pm #710854I have the same as well. I got $585.50 as the flexed profit did you guys get any where around that? With thanks.
September 5, 2024 at 8:44 pm #710856i got like -2000 or something for the flexed profit
September 5, 2024 at 9:28 pm #710858Section B I had Multi-product CVP Analysis, Rolling Budget (inflation % increase) and Target costing with a profit margin.
Section C I had Limiting factors with Make or Buy adjustments & Performance analysis Sansa Co.
For the Limiting factor make or buy did you do guys do (selling price – supplier product costs ) / limiting factor.
September 5, 2024 at 11:31 pm #710862The paper was not hard but we had a lot of obscure topics being tested, my set had sec c questions on salmon co flexed budget and KPIs for a courier company for the flexed budget, I calculated the budgeted costs p.u and flexed the budget to the actual production level also had to do high low analysis to find the manufacturing overhead, It took me few mins to realise we had to flex the budget as I was surprised as this was a question from f2 . Sec A and B were pretty straight forward except for 1 question which was lifecycle cost per unit per year, the calculations seemed very lengthy so left it, so I was only able to write 1 or 2 lines for the justifications in KPIs but im pretty sure I had allocated the existing and additional KPIs perfectly, does anybody have any idea how would they grade it?
September 6, 2024 at 12:02 am #710863do you remember what is fled budget profit ? I got profit variance something around 15 adverse? and flexed profit around 585
September 6, 2024 at 1:14 am #710864I got $585.50 as flexed profit as well. Variance was something $93.00.
Hope for the best.
September 6, 2024 at 3:29 am #710866Should we need to consider about taxation of employees in Shut down decision question?
September 6, 2024 at 4:12 am #710868Yes. The staff cost I think must include the Welfare payment, the annual increase, the tax payment and the net salary paid to staff.
But I got a problem that after calculation of revenue and all costs, I found all three clinics got profit for the year, no loss at all. Can’t find where I was wrong.September 6, 2024 at 5:16 am #710869I got first one negative and other two in positive and what about other question did you residual income in negative for next years
September 6, 2024 at 5:21 am #710870How did you do ri and roi ? I did it but not too sure .
September 6, 2024 at 5:25 am #710871I took written down value of the assets for second to fourth year
September 6, 2024 at 5:29 am #710872Yes I did the same for capital employed . Right ? . But , what for the profit calculation? I think I messed up with it
September 6, 2024 at 5:34 am #710873I guess it was 200 substantially so only I got residual income in negative and ROI was increasing, not sure that is correct!
September 6, 2024 at 5:46 am #710874Both the ROI and RI increase gradually but I think I got a wrong calculation as missing the deduction of 200 each year :<
September 6, 2024 at 9:23 am #710888do people remember what they got for the fixed cost sensitivity analysis for which project was the least sensitive i got project 4
September 6, 2024 at 11:02 am #710891Hi, everyone. In section C, what was flexed units in budgeting question?
