Passed with 54% and my last exam. Finally done with ACCA. Thanks open tuition. Can’t believe after two long years I am done. Lots of sweat and tears. Don’t ever give up! It is achievable
October 16, 2023 at 12:10 am #693352Final exam done and dusted. Pass with 66. Thank you John, thank you Ken, thank you Chris, thank you Steve, thank you Mike and thank you Tax tutor. Congratulations to all who passed. Keep pushing if your result wasn’t what you wanted, it’ll come.
October 16, 2023 at 12:16 am #693359Passed with 83%
What a weird exam – very little syllabus knowledge required and mostly lift and shift from the extracts into an answer.
Condolences for anyone who didn’t get the news they were hoping for. However, you have experienced the new syllabus and there is a lot of useful discussion on here that can help you pass it next time around.
October 16, 2023 at 12:23 am #693361SBL was my final exam and I passed with 54%. Thank you opentuition without your help this journey wouldn’t have been possible!
October 16, 2023 at 12:31 am #69336660 % Pass!! Done and dusted with ACCA!! Well done to everyone who passed!
Thank you OT
October 16, 2023 at 3:17 am #693398pass 52 first attempt. thank you so much open tuition 🙂
October 16, 2023 at 8:03 am #693440With 58 a little worse than i guess I expected(though was hard to expect anything at all), but a pass is a pass.
October 16, 2023 at 8:12 am #693441Passed with 60%, my last exam. Thank you opentuition – I can say that I passed all professional level based on Opentuition tutorials and materials. Great condensed knowledge which will give you 50+ marks is all you need to succeed.
October 16, 2023 at 9:10 am #693453passed with 68%, so just 2 exams left now. SBR + probably AFM
October 16, 2023 at 9:40 am #693462Passed with 60%. No knowledge of the syllabus was needed whatsoever, and the pre-seen was largely redundant. Common sense along with linking answers back to the exhibits is all you need to get a pass on this one. Well done to everyone who got a pass, and to anyone who missed out I would say time management is more important than knowledge for the resit. Good luck!
October 16, 2023 at 10:12 am #693467Passed 64%, cleared all exams finally after 2 years.
This was my second attempt too — I can only agree with the comments above. Weird exam little textbook knowledge, pre-seen to the great extent not very useful etc.
Anyway thank you open tuition I used your resources to prepare for all but 2 exams (ATX-UK,no support) and second attempt SBL.October 16, 2023 at 12:59 pm #693502Thank you so much to open tutition an d its tutors that i have passed my sbl in first attempt with 54% . Looking forward to sbr and afm in coming attempt . Its a great resource for anyone .
October 16, 2023 at 1:40 pm #693509I failed with the worst mark, 49!!! I’m so fed up with ACCA.
October 16, 2023 at 3:00 pm #693521Any advice please from those who passed? I’ve been getting first time passes until now. I attempted my last two exams APM and SBL in September and failed both. I know where I’ve gone wrong with APM (I prioritised SBL in the last few days before the exam as it felt wrong not to study the syllabus and was trying to catch up just before and hoped to revise APM after but felt defeated by SBL and couldn’t get myself to do anything more), but no clue what was expected of me in SBL exam. It felt like the questions were already answered and I was adding little value in my responses. Kept rereading the questions trying to understand what else I could say. Wasted a lot of time thinking I’m missing something. Am I overcomplicating it? Do you apply this technique of copy pasting bits of the scenario and adding on? How do I get through this one 🙁 ?
October 17, 2023 at 2:35 am #693561ACCA god has smiled upon me with a 59 mark and a pass. I didn’t have time to consume all the knowledge so I relied a lot on common sense and what I can remembered from Opentuition note. I didn’t use pretty much any model, keep in mind that you need prepare the answer in required format. Tks God that I have a job that dealing with lot of reports so it wasn’t not much a problem. Just think with common sense, image yourself are doing your job not attend an exam. You’ll be fine. Good luck.
October 17, 2023 at 8:37 am #693578For SBL, try and look for Dr.Dino SBL Series. It will change the way you approach the exam.
Copying and pasting will score you marks but not a lot. You have to add your own understanding/ evaluations as well.
I have added the YouTube video for Dr. Dino here: https://youtu.be/LFR00_MoJL4?si=P0pF3CLvLJuP_A18.
October 17, 2023 at 11:47 am #693598failed with 33 , any tips on how should I approach now
October 18, 2023 at 10:07 am #693624September 2023 remote exam secession was disappointed. I could not use main tools as “Highlighting exhibits” & “Copy & Paste”. Tried to report these issues to invigilator during the exam which was challenging. The invigilator managed to reboot software twice. However, it did not help.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Any advice?
October 19, 2023 at 9:49 am #693668I had failed this exam twice before getting 42/43 marks. I attempted two exams in one session which proved to be too much! This was my third attempt and I have finally passed with 63%. I found this exam completely different to all others and I personally struggled with it because I could not understand what I was doing wrong. I ended up getting a tutor which has made a HUGE difference. He prepared a mock exam after pre-seen material was released which he also marked with feedback. We were also required to submit homework questions which were also marked with feedback.
I also did a ton of research into the industry after the pre-seen material has been released and I tried to research all areas of the syllabus. It’s not worth the time to try and spot questions that could be asked because it’s unlikely that they will come up!
If any of you are considering a tutor for this exam (or any other!), I strongly recommend Sean Purcell from FME training. He is ACCA recommended and has actually won an award for his lectures too. I am not sure if I would have passed without it!
October 20, 2023 at 11:21 pm #693760Passed with 55% at first attempt. I wasn’t sure if to expect a pass or fail. My advice, use the appropriate format required, be confident in your response like a professional, put on the role you’ve been assigned to in the requirement and THINK alike. Consider the possible effects on the company and its stakeholders from any information given in the exhibits and respond accordingly. Lastly, don’t over think, keep typing because the time runs fast, I couldn’t answer all the questions.
October 22, 2023 at 8:35 am #693807Failed with a 33% mark without any idea what was done wrong. Study with the study book and revision kit from BPP and still, I am not sure what else do I need to finally complete this level, it was my first fail after successfully completing 8 levels.Very sad and disappointed.
