is any body remember the 3rd task requirement b. was it about positive or negative disruptive technologies?
September 5, 2023 at 5:10 pm #691430Took the afternoon session. First time I left the exam baffled. It feels like I’ll either get a 20 or an 80. No middle ground.
September 5, 2023 at 5:11 pm #691431Did you guys complete your exam? I had to leave out a lot due to bad time management. Feel really sad
September 5, 2023 at 5:44 pm #691443Did not expect culture to come out again since it just came out on the June exam!
September 5, 2023 at 6:35 pm #691449Personally thought the following:
1) The pre-seen was largely redundant in use other than to give you a feel for the industry. (Lots of the detail around CorJetz was repeated in the extracts)
2) There was lots of lift and shift from the extracts given into the answers. So much so it felt a little concerning, but felt like a case of lift the relevant sentence/point and add detail for more or less every question.
3) Required very little syllabus knowledge (due to point 2)
Im wary of how I did because it didn’t feel challenging in any way. Im a fast typer so pretty much finished with 20 mins to go back and add some notes and correct some spelling / sentence structure. Have passed all exams first time relatively comfortably and would be gutted if this one is the straw that broke the camels back!
September 5, 2023 at 6:50 pm #691451Hi. how did you manage task 3 require b. which is about disruptive technology. i do not remember much about requirement but was it about negative or how it can support corjetz
September 5, 2023 at 6:53 pm #691452The question was how it can support Corjetz. However I did also give some risks associated to it to balance the argument.
All the Disruptive technology was given to you in the extract
September 5, 2023 at 7:13 pm #691456My questions were
1) Culture change with new CEO. For me it was a move from Power to Task culture, autocratic boss vs democratic and participative etc.
2) Two slides one about the importance of NEDs and second about how diversity is important on Board (mixed skills, experiences, backgrounds etc)
3) AI flight training investment appraisal. To me it seemed too early ro invest
4) Risk report and consequences of risks
5) Financial, statistical and KPI analysis
6) Integrated reporting and what to report (I matched the requirwments with mission values)I honestly do not know if I did ok or not. I think that only 5% of syllabus was relevant. No strategic choices, no Porter, no Marketing, no Big Data, no change management, no forecasts, no budgeting. Seemed odd to me and I tried to connect the dots properly but not sure how I did.
September 5, 2023 at 8:01 pm #691460Could not remembers everything in details but my questions surround:
Question 1- Qualities of a good leader and Benefits of Leadership style of Corterz in a presentation format.
Question 2- An evalaution of two proposals( Additional flight route and Providing business class seats) with recommendation; and also evaluation of financing options(Debt and Leasing) with recommendation. The last part was on risk assessment framework
Question 3- Benefits and challenges of Big Data; Impact of disruption technology on the choise of compeitive approach(cost leader).September 5, 2023 at 8:21 pm #691461my questions whr similer ..,, can u please break down the marks?
i got risks in question 2
and i got csr in question 1all i can remember..40 marks in question 2 but i cant remember the breakdown of the marks between part a and part b
September 5, 2023 at 8:34 pm #691462a. Assess how the leadership style of the current Board impacted the business’s culture
What were the key qualities of the entrepreneurial style of the founders1b, importance of Corjertz demonstrating CSR.
2. Question about assessing two investment appraisals and recommendations,
b. Methods of raising finance for the investment
c. Some things about risk assessment framework based on an exhibit3a benefits and drawbacks of the data analytics in some sections of the business (the exhibits had information as to the sections)
b. What are the impact of implementing the various disruptive technologies as given from the exhibitSeptember 5, 2023 at 8:37 pm #691463This is the paper I got too, how did you find it?
September 5, 2023 at 8:54 pm #691465Hello! Which proposal did you choose? Increasing route number or creating premium seat option ? And which source of finance chosen. Please justify
September 5, 2023 at 9:06 pm #691466I chose increasing routes.Creating premium seats does have its merits but it will limit seat availability for economy class on which Corterz has used to compete(Cost Leader). Moving away from the cost leadership approach creates brand confusion.
September 5, 2023 at 9:10 pm #691467I didn’t finish. I prepared for a 4hr paper unfurtunately. Had 30minutes to attempt task 3 and did not provide all the points nor had time to organise it well.
September 5, 2023 at 10:03 pm #691471.
September 5, 2023 at 10:15 pm #691473I recognised there were benefits of both but ultimately chose the option of expanding routes because it was more in line with the company’s mission of providing affordable travel.
For the financing of the new aircraft I chose leasing on the basis of at the end of the lease they could exchange the aircraft for newer and more up to date aircraft, as this will ensure they have the latest most environmentally aircraft.September 5, 2023 at 10:42 pm #691475Hi – how did people find the risks within the TARA framework? Think it was increase in risk in cyber attack, financial risk, environmental risk and can’t remember the last?
September 6, 2023 at 2:45 am #691481I think pre-seen is a kind of diversion, and exhibit is irrelevant to pre-seen as a whole. I barely made it out on time, the answer for last task was too basic. I forgot almost every technical knowledge and just used logic + common sense. Let’s see on October 16th.
September 6, 2023 at 3:05 am #691482I got the same thing, the AI method is kinda odd. From my POV, it’s too risky to invest this early but pre-seen said Corjetz is always eager to adopt new tech earlier. And like everyone else said, the whole exam is 5-10% syllabus, which is weird.
September 6, 2023 at 3:29 am #691483This is the same set that I got. How did you approach the dynamic risk question? It put me off guard.
September 6, 2023 at 3:32 am #691484The AI method according to me seemed to be cost beneficial. Plus Corjetz have been in the industry for two decades, it looked like it was much needed. Could you share your viewpoint on the same.
September 6, 2023 at 3:42 am #691485That’s one I got wrong, tbh, I jumped to assess the impact and the likelihood of risk based on pre-seen stuff. Afterward, I felt stupid lol. About the AI, Corjetz is low-cost airline so any significant investment will affect the price war, and the AI was successful for military not commercial, no NPV appraisal was added to the proposal. Too many red flags for me.
September 6, 2023 at 4:07 am #691486Did you have an idea on what was asked from us for the dynamic risk, since even I answered the question around the same way, assessing the impact and the likelihood of the risk based on certain assumptions, but couldn’t frame a a proper response since there were no % of them occuring given.
For the AI question, given that it was successful for the military, I had taken it in a viewpoint that since the investment can comparatively reduce the training cost on the new pilots and also the payback period in months were less as compared to what Corjetz was attaining at the present. Went with those assumptions.
Did you get to assess the investment according to the SAF model? - AuthorPosts
