Just attempted the FR exam and now thinking of attempting AA in September. Would it be a bad idea to do both AA and PM? I’m a full time student and there’s 3 months so I think it should be doable, no? Any advice would be appreciated.
Welcome to my forum!
See here – it is a good understanding of FA that you need for AA rather than FR https://opentuition.com/acca/plan-your-acca-exam-journey
I suggest you plan your journey beyond September (to the extent possible) – if you have any idea which options you might do, it is better to have a shorter gap after applied skills.
You will see if you look at the survey results referenced in the article https://opentuition.com/acca/survey-results-when-taking-2-acca-exams-which-is-the-best-combination that PM/AA is not popular as a “best” combination – but only you can decide if you want to attempt more than one exam.
You may find this student’s journey helpful https://opentuition.com/topic/my-acca-journey-12-exams-in-1-5-years and this student sat AA and FM together https://opentuition.com/topic/my-approach-towards-clearing-aa-with-85 – although she did do well in both with 3 months full-time study, you will see that there were times she regretted having taken on two exams.
There is no reason why you should not be able to prepare for both AA and PM in September 🙂
