Are you the finalist? mine is also ticked yes, though i have not changed these settings by myself.
I checked the same of my colleague, its ticked “No”

can you please explain what is the link theory and e business?
yes i am a finalist waiting AAA. I don’t remember i have changed this setting myself either. i remember i changed some of them in the past but i don’t remember if i had “include in the past finalist” so i tick it lol.
For mine it was ticked no.I am also a finalist.The forum is awfully quite this time.It is scaring me more since I gave APM this time.

I think it simply means whether you want to be added to the list of finalist as and when you pass your exam. for those who sees ticked , we must have agreed to this through something which we probably can’t remember.
I have heard about this e business theory, not sure how this works.
The eBusiness link is below and should be active from tomorrow morning UK time for finalist

if you see tick box and phrase as ” you want your name to be included in affiliate list”
then congratulation you have passed, the eBusiness will be update through out the day tomorrow.

@naz2 I wish and pray you are right about the link theory. anxious, excited, not sure how to describe. I’m usually mentally very strong. but right now, because of this waiting game, I’m feeling like if you can mix up all the feeling a human being can possibly have and i’m make a cocktail out of it.

@naz2 is your “passed finalist box” ticked yes today? In sha Allah you will pass this time
I don’t think that means anything it was just a option as result will upload from tomorrow.
Thanks for your dua but I better be hopeless this time as well, what ever is Allah’s will I will accept it, my tears are dry now.

@naz2 ..ok so you are saying that the “listed passed finalist” doesn’t mean anything ? It’s the ebusiness link which will appear tomorrow should indicate whether passed or not, right?
I believe you can. I saw Yes and I can still change it to no. I don’t believe it means anything.

ok..i’m really confused now, so just to recap:
there 2 theories here:
1. if you see a tick (yes) on your “passed finalist list” on preference form then, does it genuinely mean anything? I think only the finalist from previous sittings can answer this.
2. E business theory- not sure how this work and what you should be looking for but as per “naz2 “; she is quite confident that this is the ultimate indication.

Well this check box is just preference not mean anything mine was no and I can do yes and again can do no.
The Ebusiness is the proven one and will be applicable from tomorrow, ACCA upload results from then, anyone who saw yes did you try Ebusiness what are you seeing on ebusiness?

I just got this information from prior years discussion and they could see this message on their e business portal.
“Your name will be included in the passed finalists list, when you are eligible. If you do not wish for your name to be included, please check the box below and click ‘save’.
so in my opinion, it means that “include in the affiliate list” option will automatically be updated by ACCA. and if you dont want your name you need to turn it off by yourself.
So for those its automatically turned yes, it means something
