Hi, wish to sit for P2 in September 2018. I am aware that this will change. Any idea from where I can find the syllabus and maybe a pilot paper, please?

P2 will in future be revised and become known as Strategic Business Reporting.The above link should give help you.Untill official books and/or specimen exam is released by ACCA and Publishers, I would start now with the current topics/Lectures availabe for P2 as it won’t change, what will change is the structure of the exam – answer, but not the calculations and presentation of Consolidated Financial Statements as far as I know.

Look out for new articles which I am sure ACCA will be publishing (but not so soon that it would cause confusion for P2 candidates sitting in June). Although there are few changes between the examinable docs for SBR and P2, the exam style will be VERY different:
Q1 – c.30-mark group accounting will no longer be “prepare” (full) financial statements but rather “explain/discuss” (with suitable workings) extracts for the preparation of group accounts.
Q2 – c.20-mark – a wholly written “ethics and accounting implications” question
Qs 3 & 4 – 25 marks each (NO CHOICE) – one of these will require “analysis” from, for example, an investor perspective – this Q (and Q2) will each carry 2 professional marks.Generally, there will be much more emphasis on principles and the Conceptual Framework – you can see the “lean” into this in sample Q2 from the S/D17 (hybrid) exam https://www.accaglobal.com/ca/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/strategic-business-reporting/specimen-exams.html
