    Hello Mike,
In June I failed my second attempt at the F7 exam (42%), I had already started the P1 course with BPP so I now need to sit both exams in Sept.
I am following the advice you gave someone else for the P1 exam (read, read and read) and I have the BPP revision course in September, so I am not too worried about that one. I think you have said you will posting more advice after 21st August so I will seek it out and follow that also.

In terms of F7 I would just like to check that what I am currently doing is the best use of my time. I have downloaded the OT lecture notes and am watching your lecture videos. I then plan to read the technical articles, examiners report and go through the Kaplan P&R kit. I aim to do all MCQs and select a few of the other question from each section. Does that sound like the best use of my time?

I am trying to fit in 10 hours F7 and 8 hours P1 a week along with a full time very demanding job (as we all are). I do not want to be wasting my time focusing where I shouldn’t be.

Any advice you can give is appreciated. Thank you in advance

    Carli

That sounds like a good plan to me – I do know that, if it were me, I would have great difficulty sticking to the planned timetable but you appear to be appropriately motivated

For F7, given that you have already attempted it twice, I imagine that your ‘weakness’ is speed and / or examination technique and both should improve as you practice more and more

In fact, the examination technique becomes easier as you sped up with your answers – there’s less opportunity for you to over-run the allocated time per each question

Yes, you appear to be doing all the right things

But, should you come across any issue that needs an explanation, post again on this forum – don’t get bogged down on some point that you can’t understand where I can explain it in just one reply to your post

    OK?
