    “Since the case of Salmon, the complete separation of a company and its members has never been doubted……………….there are cases in which the legislature, and to a very small extent, the courts have allowed the veil of incorporation to be lifted, but in general, it is opaque and impassable” per L.C.B Gower, Gower’s Principles of Modern Company Law, Fifth Edition Sweet and Maxwell 1992 pg 88. Explain the veracity of this statement

    It simply means that the principle of separate legal existence is a principle that the judiciary is very loathe to contradict and so it is an extremely rare occurrence where such a concept is set aside
