Dear All,
Have anyone passed AAA confidently with a good mark by only using OT resources please?
Many thanks for your replies
January 10, 2020 at 3:43 pm #557681Yeah I would like to know that too, and how long did it take to cover the whole course thru OT videos?

OT notes is not enough. I would suggest going over SBR accounting standards well and doing exam papers as far as 2011
January 12, 2020 at 10:41 am #557881As is clearly stated on the notes download page the notes should be used in conjunction with the lectures and students must have a current edition ACCA-Approved Revision Kit – in which you would also find Approved Mock Exams and Answers with Marking Schemes.
(P7 Qs back to 2011 are NOT sufficient preparation as the AAA exam is very different and the reporting standards, in particular, have changed in the meantime.)AAA examines the financial reporting aspects of IFRS that are assumed knowledge of SBR – so any candidate who ignores ACCA’s recommendation and does not study for SBR in advance of studying for AAA must clearly do something about this – for example use OpenTuition’s SBR resources.
April 14, 2020 at 3:59 am #568134Hi there, i’m having my second attempt on Sep-2020, and wishing to continue with the OT notes together with the BPP ACCA approved revision kits. I have found that the free lecturer notes from OT much more easily to be understood.
Is it sufficient enough to go with both the resources??
May 17, 2020 at 5:20 am #571072The resources can be sufficient but UNDERSTANDING the subject material is key. Without this you won’t be able to respond appropriately to the audit issues in the scenarios.
What material will you need?
1. Knowledge of IAS / IFRS specified in SBR examinable documents;
2. Knowledge of ISAs (there are 34 plus 1 ISQC);
3. 37 requirements in the ACCA ethical code.Practice past year questions to familiarise yourself with exam techniques.
Remember that in each exam scenarios are very different. So memorizing answers from an earlier question is useless. Application of knowledge to audit issues in the scenario is the thing that will earn you marks.
