Good day Guys,
I am interested in writing AA exams in March 2022 with 53 days of studying. I am a mom and I have resign from my job to complete my ACCA qualification. I have started my studies today and I just want an expertise advise to know if this is wise or feasible to prepare in March with 53 days on hand. Is this sufficient time? Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance,
Sharmilla Singh-Lall
January 12, 2022 at 3:46 pm #645765Hello again – it seems I answered a very similar question from you before https://opentuition.com/topic/can-one-prepare-for-exams-within-2-months-for-december-exams
See point 5 here https://www.accaglobal.com/hk/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f8/planning-your-study1.html – you need to prepare a realistic study plan for yourself
At the top of this page https://opentuition.com/forum/acca-forums/acca-aa-audit-and-assurance-forums, highlighted in pale yellow with “stars” on the left-hand side you will find some essential guidance including the post “How I passed AA first time with 85%+” – I know you may be happy just to pass rather than be a prizewinner but there is some good advice here including how long it takes to work thoroughly through a past exam.
If your previous job was relevant to audit/financial accounting you may find it much easier/quicker to study than students who come to it with no “real world” knowledge of experience. It takes a lot longer to get to grips with topics if the terminology is all new.
I think you just have to “grab the bull by the horns” and see how you get on with it (!)
