    Dear Sir,

The f9 study guide in the Acca website asks us to focus on investment appraisal, working capital management and business finance for Section C.

    1) Does this mean I don’t need to practice areas such as financial management function, business valuation and risk management for Constructed response? I asked this because there are constructed response questions in these areas in my Kaplan exam kit.

    2) In the constructed response questions, there would generally be a random knowledge based theory question is what I have observed. Could you please suggest how to tackle and handle those because it’s obvious we can’t remember/memorise all the topics. Please help me understand what to learn and how to tackle those concept based theory questions.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Regards,
    Rajvir Singh Oberai.

Although Section C questions will be mainly on the areas that you have listed, anything in the syllabus can appear as a small part of a Section C question.

You need to learn the entire syllabus by watching all of our free lectures.

I have no idea what you mean by a ‘random knowledge based question’ – all of the questions are on topics from the syllabus and you do need to learn and remember all the topics.

When you have finished studying then it is vital that you have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers and that you practice every question. Practice is the only way of ensuring that you understand and that you are fully prepared for the exam.
