Which section to start with in the exam?
I feel section B because the requirements are usually simple and there is not much to think so its better to finish it fast with a fresh mind then jump onto Section A.

Do you think its good strategy?

    Each one to their own
    Horses for courses
    Different folks, different strokes

It’s really a matter of what you are most comfortable with!

I’m concerned about your easy dismissal of the 20 mark questions … “… usually simple and there is not much to think …”

I think that that is a very dangerous attitude with which to approach these questions! 40% of the exam!

Every question in that exam is testing – there’s no point in setting easy questions – that’s not the purpose of examinations

So even those easy-peasy no-thinking-required questions deserve 10 minutes in the reading and planning and 26 minutes writing out your wonderfully planned 20 separate markable relevant points

Some students believe that to start with the smaller questions will then restrict the chances of them over-running the time on the big 2

There is NO DANGER of over-running your time allocation on ANY question!

When you reach the end of your time allocation … you stop! And move on to the next question

Personally I would probably start with a 20 marker, move on to the 35 marker, followed by the 25 marker and finish with a 20

But that’s MY probably strategy. It could be that it doesn’t suit you … or, indeed, anyone else

    OK?
