For a Section C question like Statement of Profit or Loss or Statement of Financial Position if I was able to do all my workings but didn’t have time to to make the statement and put those workings in the Statement of Financial Position or Statement of Profit or Loss, will I get marks for the workings or would it be irrelevant and I will score 0.
You have to be very very careful here, if a statement is asked for, first and foremost that is what your answer should be – a marker is only required to look at workings in support of an amount they can see in the answer. So you should set out the proforma answer, filling in any numbers that “lift” from the scenario, and use a working column for the easy workings – use separately referenced workings only for the trickiest parts.
