    Hello sir,

I wanted to know if we may get penalised by writing abbrevations for our computation answers in section C such as Kd for cost of debt, Kps , WACC, NPV and so on without writing it in full at the beginning? And do we need to write the formulas that are already given in the formula sheet such as for WACC and DGM?

Additionally, can we perform our MCQ calculations in the answer booklet? Im sorry for asking these questions but I do not have much experience in paper-based ACCA exams.

    Best regards,
    Rojid Nayaz.

No – you will not get penalised for abbreviations. You do not need to write out the formula, but make sure it is clear which formula you are using (because even if you put some numbers in wrongly, you will still get credit for trying to use the correct formula).

For the MCQ’s – yes, do the workings in the answer booklet (but head up the page ‘MCQ workings’). Don’t waste time doing ‘pretty’ workings because nobody looks at your workings for the MCQ’s.
