im still confused about it. is it shares given to shareholders instead of cash dividend ?
thxIs is scrip dividend (not script), and yes – instead of taking a cash dividend, the company gives them more shares. (Which is much easier for the company than paying them a cash dividend and then asking them to buy shares in a rights issue if the company needs more finance)
