No it does not.
You can find an explanation of the scatter graph in my free lectures working through chapter 3 of our free lecture notes.

But please do watch the lectures – they are a complete free course for Paper MA and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
If you are watching the lectures then you do not really need the Study Text. The essential book is the Revision Kit because practice at exam standard questions is vital to passing the exam.
